Support for Other Professionals

__Upcoming_Class___1_-removebg-preview.png

Hello & Welcome!

My journey into starting my own solo private practice back in 2021 was a wild ride, and made me realize just how important it was to have support and community along the way. Having grown up blue-collar in a small town, I had no first-hand familiarity with the major shift that happens going from being an employee to a business owner. My lack of experience (and tendency to ruminate) led me to hours of over-analyzing information to try to “figure it all out,” while what I probably needed most was genuine human connection.
Having been fortunate enough to find people and resources to help me navigate business for myself, I am eager to share what I’ve learned and offer some of that human connection to others.
Please reach out if you are interested, and I so look forward to meeting you!

* Professional Problem Solving

What is that?
Sometimes we can find ourselves stuck or overwhelmed by a situation or a growing pile of tasks that seem insurmountable. It can be tough to know where to start or understand what the barriers are to making progress. I've found that having support to process and create tangible problem-solving resources makes the 'mountains' back into 'mole-hills.'
The actual process often involves us meeting together, encouraging you to "brain dump" all the details of the issue while I ask clarifying questions and help create a visualization (using my laptop or pen & paper) that organizes the concept, barriers, resources, and actionable steps.

Wait...  isn't that basically therapy?
Great question! While therapy can certainly involve some problem solving, "Professional Problem Solving" is akin to coaching and mentorship with a focus on personal improvement and betterment, while therapy requires a broad biopsychosocial assessment, diagnosis, and medically-necessary treatment of symptoms and functional impairments. (An analogy I use is - the difference between a dietician formally addressing your nutritional deficits vs. offering a friend some tips to make veggies healthy & tasty.)

Relevant Skills Include:
* Familiarity with PC's & Mac's, Google Suite, Quickbooks, Wix, Adobe, Canva, and more
* I am very visually-oriented & love creating a quality color-coded reference document
* I have tons of curiosity, creativity, and a genuine belief in positive outcomes

* Support for Other Neurodivergent Professionals
    (e.g. ADHD, ASD, Dyslexia, Gifted/High IQ)

Why is that needed?
Being a therapist with ADHD is a wild experience, and one I am continuing to learn to navigate now. Like many Neurodivergent folks, I find there are aspects of the professional world where I have natural advantages, but when I find the deficits they can hit me hard. Finding others who have brains that work/glitch like mine makes it so much more bearable & less overwhelming.

Who it's for:
If you’re someone working in a professional setting with a Neurodivergent brain (no diagnosis needed!) and feel like you need some support - c’mon in, friend! 🥰
